I can't help walking through my house thinking, what can I discard? I find myself surveying bookshelves, wall decor, and furniture. I know the couch and chair will go when I move, and also the cheapy bookshelves, but I am not tossing them out now. Since the furniture is off limits--for now (imagine doing something creative with a couch without destroying it for the next person)--I am left with all my other stuff, meaning things I have become attached to or they wouldn't be in my house. This may be harder than I thought; but maybe it will just be more cathartic than I anticipated.
This is what I created tonight:
It was a treasured fairy fountain from Partylite that I just had to have. Isn't she beautiful?
I love fairies but as you can see from the picture their wings have broken off and I can only find one set of wings. Unfortunately, most of my fairies are missing wings--I wonder if that means anything?
Also, I love the idea of fountains, but the truth is, they mostly drive me nuts -- especially in my bedroom. This has been gathering dust for many years and I have contemplated getting rid of it many times, but just couldn't.
I will keep the wings, and the little wingless fairy for a future art project but the rest is being discarded.
